A 31-year-old man was injured in an apparent gunfire incident Monday in Bloomington.

Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Riley Drive around 5:10 p.m. Monday and discovered the victim, whose identity has not been released. In a statement, Bloomington Police said the man was transported to a hospital for treatment and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

While investigating the incident, police said they obtained a search warrant for a nearby apartment. During the search, they seized drug evidence and eight firearms.

A 29-year-old from Bloomington has been arrested and charged in connection with that search on suspicion of illegal use of a firearm, manufacturing and delivery of cannabis and possession of a controlled substance.
