Four former Central Catholic High School athletes are going into the Saints Athletic Hall of Fame this weekend.
The school will honor Stacey Miller, Jennifer (Monk) O’Keefe, Caroline (Holt) Boricich, and Molly McGraw at an induction ceremony Saturday.
Boricich and McGraw were Class of 2014 teammates in volleyball and basketball, with Boricich also playing softball and McGraw competing in track and field. They were both on the Saints’ 2011 girls basketball team that placed second in the IHSA Class 2A state tournament, and each earned numerous accolades in all of their sports.
Boricich went on to play Division I college volleyball for Loyola and Notre Dame, while McGraw earned All-American honors in both basketball and volleyball at Illinois Wesleyan.
A member of the Class of 2009, O’Keefe helped Central Catholic win its first IHSA state title in girls track and field in her senior year, setting five school records in the process.
She also served as a team captain in basketball, earning defensive player of the year recognition. She later competed in heptathlon and pentathlon at James Madison University.
Miller was a standout competitor in golf, basketball and soccer, graduating in the Class of 2006. She qualified for the IHSA state golf tournament three times, placing 18th as a senior. She also earned first team all-conference honors in basketball and All-Intercity honors in soccer.
She continued her golf career at Illinois State University, winning individual medalist honors in the 2009 Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. She competed in the 2012 U.S. Women’s Amateur, and was inducted into ISU’s Percy Family Hall of Fame in 2023.
Saturday’s 4:30 p.m. ceremony in the Central Catholic auditorium is open to the public, with a reception to follow in the student center. The honorees will also be recognized during halftime of Friday night’s boys basketball game against St. Thomas More.
