Miller Park Zoo temporarily closes due to water main break

The city of Bloomington has announced Miller Park Zoo is temporarily closed to due a water main break.

The city said in a statement posted to social media that the zoo would be closed on Sunday until water service is restored.

“The safety and well-being of the zoo’s animals, staff and visitors remain a top priority,” a city spokesperson said in a statement.

The water main break is on Morris Avenue between Wood and Miller streets.

Crews were on-site Sunday afternoon making repairs, according to the statement.
