A standing room-only crowd turned out Wednesday night for the debut screening of WGLT's documentary Frozen and Forgotten: An Unhoused Winter in Bloomington-Normal.
The screening at Bloomington Public Library was followed by a panel discussion featuring three people with lived experience being unhoused, plus two people working in street outreach for Bloomington-Normal nonprofits. You can listen to this audio recording of the panel discussion.
Frozen and Forgotten is a multimedia reporting project led by WGLT's Melissa Ellin and Emily Bollinger. Bollinger directed and edited the documentary, which is WGLT's first. They recently appeared on WGLT's Sound Ideas to discuss their reporting.
