State Police have seized an estimated $10 million worth of cocaine during a traffic stop in McLean County.

Troopers arrested Jobanpreet Singh on Thursday afternoon on Interstate 74 eastbound near LeRoy.

Court records showed the charges are controlled substance trafficking and possession, and the manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance/analog. Records also show Singh is scheduled for arraignment May 9. Singh is being held in the McLean County Jail.

The 234 pounds of cocaine seized from the truck he drove is among the largest hauls of drugs seized in McLean County. In 2019 authorities seized 110 pounds of cocaine during a stop north of Bloomington-Normal, and at that time prosecutors said the only two bigger ones were in 2006 and in 2009 with 238 pounds of cocaine seized in the latter case.
