A Bloomington man faces two years in prison after reaching a plea agreement in a reckless homicide case.
McLean County judge Amy McFarland sentenced Kameron Major, 28, on Friday to two years in prison and six months of supervised release, according to online court records.
The charges stem from a September 2023 crash in the 1800 block of Springfield Road in Bloomington that killed a passenger, 27-year-old Travaye Clayton of Bloomington.
Major pleaded guilty in April to a felony reckless homicide charge, and three misdemeanor counts of obstructing justice/destroying evidence, and one count of improper lane usage. One count of failure to reduce speed was dismissed in the plea agreement.
Major was also ordered to pay $3,000 restitution to Clayton’s family.
