The Town of Normal is looking for community input for redeveloping the Rosa Parks Commons.
The park is located off of Constitution Trail, along Raab Road.
Town staff from the Parks and Recreation Department will present conceptual site plans for redevelopment of the commons and want town feedback on the designs and selection of a new playground at a March 18 meeting.
The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. at the Normal Community Activity Center.
Rosa Parks Commons was formerly known as the West Detention Basin, after land previously developed to collect storm water from nearby homes. It was renamed in 2007 in honor of civil rights activist Rosa Parks.
