Up to 3 inches of snow is expected in the Bloomington-Normal and Peoria areas from Sunday night to Monday night. Here's the forecast as of early Sunday morning.

A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 1 p.m. Monday across much of Central Illinois.

Bloomington-Normal and Greater Peoria again avoided the worst of a spring storm system that moved through the area Sunday. The area was under a tornado watch for a portion of Sunday afternoon and evening, though it later expired.

The National Weather Service said a bit more snow and wind gusts up to 45 mph were expected through midday Monday. Drivers should plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

A wind advisory is also in effect for the area until 10 a.m. Monday.

Temperatures will stay chilly Monday and Tuesday, in the mid-20s, before warming up into the 40s on Wednesday and 50s on Thursday.
