On Aug. 13, “America’s Band,” The Beach Boys are catching a wave to Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington. Their Endless Summer Gold Tour celebrates 250 years of the U.S. as well as 60 years of their famous and critically-acclaimed album Pet Sounds.
Following the death of founding member Brian Wilson in June 2025, 85-year-old singer/songwriter Mike Love leads the tour and is the only original member still touring with The Beach Boys. Other living Beach Boys members Bruce Johnston and Al Jardine are no longer touring with the Band. Johnston announced his retirement from touring in March 2026 and Jardine continues to perform separately with his own group, the Pet Sounds Band.
The band broke through with their hit Surfin' in 1961, and since then they have become known for embodying the California lifestyle. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers have topped charts with their American classics, such as Kokomo, Good Vibrations, Wouldn’t It Be Nice and I Get Around.
Before the concert, Mid-State Cruisers will present the Good Vibrations Cruise-In from 4-7 p.m. on Front Street outside of Grossinger. The pre-show event is a part of the arena’s Summer of Celebrations. The event will feature classic cars, door prizes and vehicles of all makes and models.
The Beach Boys perform at 7 p.m. Aug. 13 in the arena. Tickets start at $70 at grossingermotorsarena.com.
