Lauren Fischer
InternLauren Fischer is a student reporter at WGLT. She joined the station in May 2026.
Lauren grew up in Bloomington-Normal and attends Butler University in Indianapolis. She is a rising junior majoring in journalism and creative media & entertainment. At Butler, she serves as marketing manager for the Butler Collegian and a staff reporter for the news section.
Lauren is excited to impact and inform her community while exploring new reporting techniques, broadening her skillset. She is also looking to further her experience in a professional news setting, as she works towards a career as a news reporter.
