A man has died in a mobile home fire in south Bloomington.
Fire Department spokesman Stuart Blade says the call came in a little before eight a.m. about a fire on Avenue G of the Hilltop Mobile Home Park."The neighbors had a pretty good call on spotting it. A neighbor was taking out the trash and made the call to 9-1-1," said Blade.
Less than half an hour later the flames in the double wide were under control.
"At this time the fire is under investigation and so all the information that will follow has yet to be determined. We have included the State Fire Marshal, since we do have one fatality," said Blade.
McLean County Coroner Kathy Davis said an autopsy will be performed Thursday afternoon.
Blade said the last fatality in a fire in Bloomington was early in 2015 on Monroe Street.
