Police have arrested a 22-year-old man from Normal for shooting a man to death in Normal on Wednesday.

Officers said they took Danny T. Lyons into custody about 1:30 a.m. in Lincoln, Illinois.

Investigators executed search warrants late Wednesday evening and early Thursday in north Normal, Heyworth, and Lincoln which they say generated information that contributed to the arrest of Lyons.

Police in Normal said they have received help from State Police, Heyworth Police, Bloomington Police, and Lincoln Police.

The McLean County Coroner said  22-year-old David Parks died after being shot multiple times in an apartment building parking lot in the 700 block of Golfcrest. Parks' last known address was in Bloomington.
