Keep an eye on the weather if you’re headed out to Bloomington-Normal’s Fourth of July festivities, including Tuesday night’s dual fireworks shows at Fairview and Miller parks.

Scattered storms are possible Tuesday afternoon and evening, but more substantial chances can be expected Wednesday into early Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

The local Sky Concert fireworks shows are expected to begin around 9:15 p.m., launching from Normal’s Fairview Park and Bloomington’s Miller Park.

Before the fireworks, Bloomington will host the Celebrate America song-and-dance revue starting at 6 p.m. at Miller Park. Normal’s festivities begin at 5 p.m., with family-friendly activities including inflatables and face-painting, and a concert featuring The Bygones starting at 6 p.m.
