Council to Chair
Normal Town Council member Scott Preston will consider running for the McLean County Republican Party chair. The current chair, Chuck Erickson, will not seek re-election when his term ends in April.
Piano Teacher Arrested
Aaron Michael Parlier, 36, is in custody after allegedly sexual assaulting an underage girl for several years who was apparently one of his piano students. Parents of his other students are encouraged to call the Bloomington Police Department.

Bloomington-Normal doctors looking to prescribe painkillers will now have to check a state database of a patient's prescription history before giving out narcotics. McLean County saw 34 opioid-related deaths in 2017.
