A 35-year-old Bloomington man faces drug-induced homicide charges for his role in an overdose death last year.
Christopher Barker was arrested Wednesday, Bloomington Police said in a statement Wednesday. Barker allegedly supplied the drugs that killed George Darnell, 44, of Bloomington. He was found dead in the 600 block of South McClun Street. He had heroin and methamphetamine in his system, said McLean County Coroner Kathy Yoder.
Barker's arrest was the result of a joint effort by the McLean County coroner's office, the McLean County state's attorney's Office, and BPD. Barker is being held on a $1 million bond.

This is at least the third drug-induced homicide case filed in McLean County in the past year.
Troy McBride pleaded guilty in November and was sentenced to 11 years in prison for selling fentanyl-laced heroin that killed James Dingman, 41, of Bloomington.
In a separate case, Stephanie Mangan of Bloomington is charged in the death of Brandyce Mrazek. That case remains pending.
