Ex-Bloomington Arena Manager Convicted Of Theft

Curtis Webb
McLean County Jail
Curtis Webb faces sentencing on Oct. 28 after a jury convicted him of theft.

A McLean County jury has convicted a former Bloomington arena manager of stealing money from the venue.
The jury deliberated for much of Thursday before producing its verdict Friday morning in the case against Curtis Webb following a three-day trial.

Webb, 48, was VenuWorks' first manager of the then-U.S. Cellular Coliseum before the company fired him five months into the job in October 2016.

Prosecutors say Webb used a company debit card for the city-owned venue to cover personal expenses, including airline tickets and hotel rooms.

He will be sentenced Oct. 28.

Prosecutors in Minnesota this week filed similar charges against Webb related to his work managing an arena there.
