Kelly Heissler

Kelly Heissler is part of the development team and supports the station’s community events and programs.
 
Kelly joined WGLT in 2025 with a background in higher education having spent five years at the University of Missouri St. Louis working in admissions and new student orientation and programming. She holds a mass communications degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a master’s degree in sport management from Illinois State University.
 
Kelly and her husband returned to Bloomington-Normal in 2017. Their three children attend the ISU Lab Schools where she serves as a PTO member planning fundraising events for teacher grants and organizing events for both students and families.
 
An avid sports enthusiast and former college athlete, Kelly is a proud supporter of Redbird Athletics. Most of her time is spent keeping up with her kids' activities, attending community events and traveling as free time allows.
