Town Of Normal Hires Assistant City Manager

Eric Hanson
Town of Normal

The Town of Normal has selected a new assistant city manager.

Eric Hanson was appointed to fill the role previously held by now City Manager Pam Reece.

In a statement from the town, Reece said Normal is “extremely fortunate” to have Hanson. She said his past local government work will assist the town in achieving its goals.

Hanson comes to Normal after serving as the city administrator in Ballwin, Missouri. Before that, he held city leadership roles in Illinois and Iowa.

“I’m beyond excited to start this next chapter in my career and look forward to all the future holds for me in Normal,” Hanson said.

Hanson starts with Normal on Monday.

The town’s Director of Information Technology Teri Legner served as interim assistant city manager after Reece was promoted last April.
