The McLean County Health Department reported two more COVID-19 cases on Sunday.

McLean County health officials confirmed two new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, both in children under age 10, while Illinois has surpassed 30,000 cases.
The McLean County Health Department said the two children are from the same household, but did not provide additional information. They are the youngest to contract the coronavirus in McLean County to date.

The health department also said four more coronavirus patients have recovered. Two patients remain hospitalized, while eight remain in isolation. Three patients have died.

The health department estimated about 1,600 McLean County residents have been tested, including those who have received tests at the mobile clinic at the McLean County Fairgrounds in Bloomington. The clinic is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to anyone who is showing symptoms.

Gov. JB Pritzker said Sunday he's considering requiring everyone wear a mask in public.

"Everybody should we wearing a mask in my opinion when they are going to be outdoors," Pritzker said. "Particularly as it warms up here, we want people to be safe and they are keeping everybody else safe."

Pritzker said the mask requirement is a suggestion from Illinois Department of Public Health Director Ngozi Ezike. To this point, the state and CDC have only recommended people wear masks in public.

The governor said he's considering several adjustments to the state's shelter-in-place order that's set to expire April 30.

Pritzker also recommended customers sanitize everything they take home from the grocery store as a precaution.

"Everything really needs to be wiped down and whatever it is you were carrying the groceries in needs to be immediately thrown away or if it can be wiped down, great, but you need to get it out of your kitchen," Pritzker said.

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported an additional 1,197 cases, bringing the state’s total to 30,357. The state reported 33 additional deaths on Sunday, raising the death toll to 1,290.
