ROTARY CLUB HELPS FUND COVID-19 RESPONSE IN BLOOMINGTON-NORMAL
4 p.m. Monday, April 20

The Bloomington-Normal Sunrise Rotary Club says it's issued $7,000 in grants to community organizations that are helping with the COVID-19 response.

The rotary club board has approved giving $3,000 to Midwest Food Bank in Normal and $2,000 each to the Heartland Community College Foundation and to Feed BloNo Kids.

Midwest Food Bank is seeking to meet increased demand for food during the pandemic. The HCC foundation is seeking to grow its emergency fund to help students who are struggling with food and housing insecurity and other challenges during the pandemic. Feed BloNo Kids aims to feed children in Bloomington-Normal who were reliant on school meals before the pandemic forced them to close.
