Jim Waldorf from Sound of Illinois shows off their new Christmas CD.

The Sound of Illinois Chorus—80 men strong—not only have a new Christmas CD that's just been released, but they're holding a free Christmas concert for the community, as well.

  • The new CD is called "This ... This is Christmas." Its title was inspired by a lyric from the traditional Christmas song, "What Child is This?"
  • The CD features classic and contemporary songs, including "Caroling, Caroling," "Mary Did You Know," "A Chipmunk Christmas" and "Little Drummer Boy."
  • The concert is Sunday, Dec. 10, at Second Presbyterian Church in downtown Bloomington. It starts at 3 p.m.
  • Also appearing at the concert are Sound Celebration and Sweet Adeline chorus from Springfield.
  • Copies of the CD will be for sale at the concert.
