Bloomington Normal's medical marijuana dispensary is opening in October. The Green Solution held an open house from three to seven on Northtown Road in Normal.

Green Solution principal owner Tanya Griffin said they expect initially there will be a couple hundred customers from the McLean County area.

In more mature markets such as Colorado, Griffin said one to two percent of the population makes use of therapeutic marijuana. In McLean County, that could be two or three thousand people.

Griffin talks about the growing therapeutic marijuana industry. Griffin said the open house is a limited chance for the public to see what an operation looks like.
