McHistory: Blazing The Trail For Women Who Write

McLean County Museum of History
The McLean County Museum of History holds no photographs of Elizabeth Irons Folsom. This sketch began appearing in Pantagraph articles on her as early as 1926.

Elizabeth "Lizzie" Irons Folsom Fox blazed the path for women in Bloomington-Normal who had dreams of writing in the late 1800s.

One of the Pantagraph's first female court reporters is the subject of this week's McHistory.

WGLT's Mary Cullen produced this episode of McHistory with help from the McLean County Museum of History Librarian Bill Kemp and museum volunteer and part-time employee Rochelle Gridley.
