A teenage male was treated and released from the hospital overnight after being shot on Bloomington's east side, police said.
The shooting happened around 10:50 p.m. in a parking lot in the 1900 block of Peach Street, near Empire Street and Prospect Road, Bloomington Police said. An apartment in the area was struck by gunfire. Just after midnight police were told there was a juvenile male at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.
"The victim sustained an injury consistent with a gunshot wound while walking home in the area," BPD said in a statement. There were no other injuries reported.
