Kelly Pyle will fill the Unit Five School Board vacancy created by the resignation of Joe Cleary

The Unit Five School Board has picked a new board member to replace Joe Cleary. Cleary took a job out of state.

New Board member Kelly Pyle is an academic advisor at Illinois State University and a former head of Clinical Experiences in Audiology at the University.

“Kelly's passion for education and desire to serve the citizens and students of Unit 5 will make her an asset to the Board and the District as we strive to educate each student to achieve personal excellence," said Board President Barry Hitchins.

Pyle has lived in Normal for ten years and has two children in Unit 5 schools.

Pyle will serve until the next regular election in April.
