'Fish Medicine' a Growing Field for Veterinarians
A growing number of veterinarians are being trained to treat pet fish that fall ill. The first documented operation on a sick goldfish was performed in 1993 at North Carolina State University. Jessica Jones of member station WUNC follows one successful surgery.

Bullet strikes Southwest Airlines plane at Dallas Love Field Airport
There were no reported injuries on the plane, which was struck while preparing for takeoff, Southwest Airlines said. The plane safely taxied back to the terminal after the incident.
