The annual Peace, Love, Autism Walk is Saturday, Sept. 17 beginning at 9 AM in Bloomington's Tipton Park.
- Krissy Dodson said the event is a fundraiser for Autism McLean, and that they hope to raise about $20,000.
- The goal of Autism McLean is to promote the general welfare of those with autism and their families.
- Dodson noted that her daughter, who is on the autism spectrum, had made the cheerleading squad at school. The cost of the uniform and such were partially funded by money from Autism McLean, so that Dodson's daughter could more easily take part in the school activities with her peers.
- The event features a 5K run through Tipton Park, plus a fun run for kids.
