Rebuild Illinois

As bridges age across the state, a recent cost-benefit analysis from the Illinois Soybean Association posits that spending the money to fix them will net greater economic yields.

Seven McLean County road projects are included in the Illinois Department of Transportation's annual plan to repair the state's roads and bridges. Projects include work on Interstate 55, U.S. Routes 24 and 136 and bridge repairs at the Funks Grove rest area.

The Miller Park Zoo in Bloomington has received a $750,000 state grant. It's part of $19.7 million in capital investments the state is making in 36 museums and other facilities.
