State Farm To Hire 1,500 Claims Workers

State Farm said Tuesday it will hire more than 1,500 claims workers in Bloomington-Normal, Dallas, Phoenix, and Atlanta. Spokesperson Chris Pilcic said the company has not yet set the number for each city.

"We're remaining flexible as we engage with interested parties and applicants, but potentially several hundred positions (will be) added in each of these locations," said Pilcic. A State Farm news release indicated record growth in customers and policies created the need for the new workers.

Hiring will kick off Thursday with a virtual career fair from 11 a.m. to 1 pm.

“Our employees are the key to ensuring our continued success,” said State Farm HR&D Director Jill Lacy Green. “Our virtual career fair will allow potential applicants to engage with our recruiters to learn more about our career opportunities, interviewing and resume tips, as well as our benefits before applying.”

The career fair requires pre-registration at StateFarm.com/careers.

"Some of these positions include in-language staff, so Asian languages and Spanish speakers," said Pilcic.

The company is particularly looking for people with Asian and Spanish language skills. The full-time positions, which could cover a variety of shifts, include access to full benefits. Insurance experience isn’t necessary, according to the company statement.
