A 21-year-old man was shot in the back when a gun went off inside a vehicle in Bloomington.
It happened sometime late Friday night somewhere on Bloomington's west side, police said. The victim showed up at Carle BroMenn Medical Center with the gunshot wound. His condition was not known Monday.
"The gunshot came from within the same vehicle the victim occupied as it traveled through Bloomington," police said Monday.
Two 19-year-olds — one from Bloomington, one from Champaign — were arrested on preliminary weapons charges.
