Two Bloomington men have been charged with murder in connection with a body found in a rural McLean County ditch over Thanksgiving weekend, authorities said Monday.

Justin G. Kletz, 26, and Derek P. Siebring, 18, are each charged with 10 counts, including murder, kidnapping, and aggravated battery, the McLean County sheriff’s office said. They’re being held at the McLean County jail.

Kletz and Siebring are accused of killing Jamere D. Bew, 31, of Bloomington. Bew’s body was found Saturday in a ditch near U.S. 136 and 1025 East Road. That's a rural area between McLean and Heyworth. Bew died from multiple gunshot wounds, and toxicology testing is pending.

The episode apparently began Saturday morning, when McLean County sheriff’s deputies were called to an area south of Bloomington for a report of a woman who was looking for a man. The man was alleged to be a victim of violence.

The investigation led police with a search warrant to an apartment in the 1600 block of Springfield Road in Bloomington. Two suspects — now identified as Kletz and Siebring — were arrested in that apartment. On scene were McLean County sheriff's deputies, the Bloomington Police Department SWAT Team, and the Bloomington Police Department Crisis Negotiation Unit.

Anyone with information is asked to contact McLean County Sheriff's Detective Hanner at 309‐888-5063, Lt. Tuttle at 309‐888‐5928, or the Sheriff's Office at 309-888-5034.
