A McLean County jury determined Desiree Robertson did not premeditate her husband's death in a 2024 domestic dispute. She was found guilty of second-degree murder Wednesday.

A 31-year-old man from Normal was charged Saturday with causing the intentional homicide of an unborn child, after allegedly sneaking the abortion pill mifepristone to his girlfriend in Bloomington without her consent.

Luis A. Monroy, 18, is charged as an adult in the 2023 fatal stabbing of Nicholas Zapata. He plans to change his plea to guilty.
