Progress on the new O'Neil Aquatics Center, seen here in March 2024. The Center is due to open May 31.

Bloomington-Normal YMCA members will have more options for summer swimming. The YMCA announced a partnership with the City of Bloomington, providing half-price pool passes for YMCA members.

Passes for Holiday Pool and the newly renovated O’Neil Aquatics Center go on sale May 1, purchasable online or in person at the Government Center, 115 E. Washington St. The regular early-bird price is $70, with $30 passes available for Holiday Pool only. On May 25, prices increase $5. YMCA members can access both facilities for $34.

After two years of delays, the long-anticipated overhaul of O’Neil Park and Pool includes a lazy river, 3-meter diving board, separate lap pool and waterslide—plus a new skate park.

The summer pool season runs May 31-Aug. 11 for both Bloomington facilities.

Town of Normal pool passes went on sale in March. Prices increase to $60 May 1 for access to Fairview Family Aquatic Center, opening May 25, and Anderson Aquatic Center, opening June 1.
