Senior leadership from the Bloomington-Normal YMCA traveled to Washington, D.C. to join the national coalition's advocacy days. YMCA wants full funding for childcare funding and health promotions, among other priorities. At home, the BN YMCA is hoping to expand its services.

Bloomington-Normal YMCA, the American Red Cross of Central Illinois and the Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal are working together again to keep kids safe in the water this summer.

The end of May sees the celebration of Memorial Day, the last days of the school year and, for parents and families, the start of the swimming season. A new partnership from the City of Bloomington aims to educate the public on water safety before diving headfirst into the pool.

Early bird passes go on sale May 1, with YMCA members now able to secure passes for half-price.
