Comedian Craig Ferguson is the latest stand-up act scheduled for the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts.
Tickets for Ferguson's Pants on Fire Tour go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.
The Emmy-Award winning former host of the The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on CBS is scheduled to perform Nov. 16 at the downtown Bloomington venue.
The Scottish comedian's career in entertainment began as the drummer for a slew of Glascow's mediocre punk bands. Early comedy success at the 1986 Edinburgh Festival Fringe propelled Ferguson's career in the U.K.; upon moving to the United States in 1995, he appeared with Betty White and Marie Osmond in the short-run ABC comedy Maybe This Time.
He went on to star as Drew Carey's boss, Nigel Wick, on ABC's The Drew Carey Show before moving to late night television. From 2010-2019, he voiced Gobber on Cartoon Network's How to Train Your Dragon.
The BCPA announced Ferguson's planned appearance on Monday, shortly after unveiling its 2024-25 season of 24 shows.
Comedy has been a popular offering in the past year; Pete Davidson, Charlie Berens, Bored Teaches and Chelcie Lynn all sold out the 1200-seat theater.
