Two Chicago-area men face prison sentences of more than 100 years for a fatal shooting on Bloomington's west side in 2020.

Jaleel Johnson, a 20-year-old father and concrete laborer, was shot and killed Oct. 12, 2020, in Bloomington.

Kevon Moon, 25, of Chicago, was sentenced on Thursday in McLean County court to 103 years in prison for his role in the killing of 20-year-old Jaleel Johnson, who was a father and concrete worker. He died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Two other people in their 20s were also shot in the incident that happened Oct. 12, 2020, outside of 1605 Iowa St. in Bloomington.

A jury in May convicted Moon on murder, attempted murder, aggravate battery with a forearm, mob action and obstruction of justice charges.

A co-defendant, 31-year-old Malcolm Johnson, was sentenced last week to 123 years in prison. Johnson was convicted on the same charges.

McLean County Judge William Yoder handed down both sentences.

A third defendant, 25-year-old James Moon, is still on the loose.
