Bloomington Starbucks hit by gunfire on Friday morning

The Starbucks at 101 N. Veterans Parkway in Bloomington was struck by gunfire on Friday.

A Bloomington coffee shop near a busy intersection was hit by gunfire in broad daylight on Friday.

A reporter saw evidence of two gunshots through a window at the Starbucks location at 101 N. Veterans Parkway on Friday afternoon.

Employees were seen in the store while a sign was posted indicating the restaurant was closed. No injuries were reported.

Bloomington Police officer Bryce Janssen said no arrests have been made and police have not released any suspect information.

Janssen said officers heard gunshots near their location shortly after 11:30 a.m. A short time later, a nearby business reported damage to their building. Police have not said how many shots may have been fired.

Police rerouted traffic away from the area of Veterans and Washington for a brief time after the shooting as multiple officers canvassed the area.
