A man whose body was found amid recycling materials at Midwest Fiber in Normal has been identified by the McLean County coroner.

The man who was found at the center on White Oak Road around 6 p.m. on Sept. 5 was 34-year-old Dion Macklin of Springfield, according to a news release from Kathy Yoder.

A cause of death is "pending further investigation," the release said. A toxicology test is also underway.

Last week, the Normal Police Department said its officers were collaborating with other law enforcement agencies across the state in investigating the situation.
