Eunmee Shim is scheduled to start Jan. 6, 2025.

Shim has been the president of Adventist Health Care Fort Washington Medical Center in Fort Washington and held several leadership positions at the hospital including chief operating officer and chief nursing officer, according to OSF.

“(Shim) will be responsible for directing all internal operations and helping OSF evolve when necessary to ensure that high-quality and cost-effective health care continues to be delivered to the patients we are blessed to serve,” said Carol Friesen, CEO for OSF HealthCare’s Eastern Region.

Derrick Frazier, president of OSF St. James Medical Center in Pontiac, has served as interim president at St. Joseph. Jennifer Ulrich, OSF's vice president of Finance for the Eastern Region, had stepped into the interim role following the departure of Lynn Fulton, who led the Bloomington hospital for six years until she left last December to become CEO of the Maui Health System in Hawaii.

A previous version of the story had omitted Jennifer Ulrich as an interim president at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center.
