Jake Owen to headline 'Dancin' on the Dirt' at Fairbury Speedway

Multi-platinum country star Jake Owen will headline Fairbury Speedway's Dancin' on the Dirt, running one night only on May 31.

Owen is originally from Central Florida, known for laid-back contemporary country hits like Barefoot Blue Jean Night, American Country Love Song and Anywhere with You.

Located at the Fairbury Fairgrounds 30 miles northeast of Bloomington-Normal, Fairbury Speedway is a 1/4-mile dirt track, three times named UMP DIRTcar track of the year, and running the annual Prairie Dirt Classic. They launched Dancin’ on the Dirt four years ago, attracting big name headliners Cole Swindell, Lee Brice, Scotty McCreery and now Owen.

Diehard ticketholder can camp in tents or RVs on the grounds for the festival beginning at noon on May 30 for an additional fee. All tickets go on sale Jan. 31 at 10 a.m.

Former Kid Rock DJ Uncle Kracker opens for Owen. The country crossover artist released his first album in a decade last summer, called Coffee & Beer. Kracker’s recent resurgence follows a 2023 tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top. He was last in the area in September 2023 for a one-night stop at the Corn Crib.

Concert tickets are $48-$68, on sale Jan. 31 at fairburyspeedway.com.
