One man is dead after car crash in Bloomington

A 32-year-old man is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Bloomington on Thursday night.

That crash happened around 6:21 p.m. Thursday near Regency Drive and Canterbury Court, near Eastland Mall, authorities said.

Alberto A. Sanchez-Hernandez, of Bloomington, was the driver and sole occupant of the car that crashed, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. In a statement Saturday evening, the McLean County coroner said Sanchez-Hernandez died from injuries sustained in the crash. A toxicology test remains pending.

Bloomington Police, the McLean County coroner's office, and the McLean County Accident Reconstruction Team are investigating.
