Bloomington Police have arrested a 39-year-old man for allegedly stabbing a woman several times.

Christopher L. Thornton was booked for attempted murder, home invasion, domestic battery after multiple convictions, violating an order of protection and other charges stemming from a domestic incident early Saturday morning.

Officers said when they arrived about 1 a.m. in the 1500 block of North Hershey Road, they found a woman with potentially life-threatening wounds. A man and a juvenile girl also were injured. The attack happened inside a nearby residence, police said.

BPD said they found Thornton several hours later near McGraw and Eldorado and captured him after a foot chase.
