David D. Jordan, 70, of Gibson City is wanted in connection with the shooting of two police officers early Saturday.

Authorities said Thursday they're still looking for a 70-year-old man who allegedly shot two police officers in Gibson City, but that there was no "active threat to the public."

David D. Jordan is wanted in connection with Saturday's shooting in Gibson City, about 30 miles east of Bloomington-Normal. Police responding to a report of a naked man made contact with Jordan at his home. He allegedly shot both officers, police said. Jordan's house then caught fire and he disappeared — still without clothes.

Both officers have since been released from the hospital. One was struck in the left knee and left arm. The other was shot in the hip. Neither officer returned fire during the incident, police said. They are both on paid administrative leave.

Anybody who has any information about Jordan’s whereabouts is asked to call their local police or submit a tip on State Police's Crime Tip website. Jordan may be seen with a red bicycle.

State Police say there does not appear "to be an active threat to the public, but people are asked not to approach Jordan if they encounter him, and instead call 911."
