A Bloomington man is hospitalized in stable condition after he was shot inside an apartment building over the weekend.

Bloomington Police said they were called to the 1000 block of Four Seasons Road at 11:15 p.m. Saturday for a reported shooting.

Police said they found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital after patrol officers provided medical care on scene.

Police said no arrests have been made.

"Violence is never the answer, but once again, a person resorted to using a gun to harm a Bloomington resident. We are working hard to solve this unfortunate incident, and our detectives will be relentless in their investigation until it is resolved," BPD chief Jamal Simington said in a statement.

Bloomington Police ask anyone with information on the case to contact detective John Gaffney at 309-434-2672.
