Bloomington police said one man suffered a gunshot wound and another man has been arrested as a result of a fight Friday afternoon in the 1000 block of West Market Street.
Public information officer Bryce Janssen says officers were called to the area shortly after 3 p.m. following reports of the fight inside a business. On arrival, officers found evidence of shots being fired.
The shooting victim arrived later at a local hospital by a private vehicle, suffering a gunshot injury that is not considered life-threatening.
Janssen confirms another man was taken into custody in connection with the shooting. The suspect’s identity and specific charges have not been released. Janssen said more information will be released at a later time.
The shooting remains under investigation. Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to contact the Bloomington Police Department.
