Bloomington Police said one man suffered a gunshot wound and another man has been arrested after a fight broke out Friday afternoon inside a west Bloomington grocery store.

Police spokesperson Bryce Janssen said officers were called to the Red and Blue grocery store in the 1000 block of West Market Street shortly after 3 p.m., following reports of the fight inside the business. On arrival, officers found evidence of shots being fired.

The shooting victim arrived later at a local hospital by a private vehicle, though his injuries were not considered life-threatening. Prosecutors said he was struck in the arm and chest.

Naquin Terrell, 18, has been charged with aggravated battery with discharge of a firearm [a Class X felony] and another gun charge in connection with the incident, prosecutors said. Terrell had spoken to police officers around 1 p.m. at his job at Burger King on Veterans Parkway, where three people had entered the restaurant with firearms, prosecutors said. Terrell was seen wearing the same clothes from the Burger King incident in security-camera footage from the Red and Blue fight, prosecutors said.

The shooting remains under investigation. Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to contact the Bloomington Police Department.
