Amid the many moves by State Farm Insurance comes a hiring fair.
Corporate recruiter Cooper Kennard said they want to hire 250 claims workers and 50 people for State Farm Bank on Monday at the Doubletree Hotel in Bloomington.
Kennard said these are career opportunities.
"(It's) being able to grow and develop in your role, learn about the organization, and provide a unique experience for the customers. And then having an opportunity to grow and develop into your own career path, said Kennard.
Starting pay for the 300 jobs is $16 per hour.
Some hiring for professional positions will also be done in Learning and Development, Enterprise Technology, Labs, and State Farm agents.
State Farm had promised to increase claims jobs in Bloomington-Normal as it moves some information technology (IT) positions out of the Twin Cities to hubs in southern cities.
The career expo will be from 2-7 p.m. Monday.
Candidates are encouraged to apply in advance online and to bring multiple copies of their resume to the expo.
