Orthopedic Surgeon Arrested On Sexual Assault Charges

A doctor in Bloomington is accused of sexual assault or abuse.

Bloomington Police have arrested a 34-year-old orthopedic surgeon for alleged aggravated criminal sexual assault and abuse of an adult with a physical disability.

Shaun Kink is listed as a foot and ankle specialist at McLean County Orthopedics. His professional credentials include a medical diploma from Michigan State University, and a pharmacology degree from Butler University. Kink's biography at the medical practice indicates he finished first in his class at Butler.

Police said the allegations include use of force or the threat of force.

Dr. Shaun Kink was held at the McLean County Jail as of Wednesday night.

Officers said Kink's bond is set at $200,000.

Police are also asking for anyone with additional information to contact them.
