Bev was born December 24, 1937, the daughter of Dallas and Mabel Kerns Brown. She married Hugh W. Parker on January 27, 1957, in Weedman.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Hugh Parker, three children, Steve (Teri) Parker, Doug (Peggy) Parker, and Karen (Steve) Timmermann, all of Bloomington, eight grandchildren, Darin (Casey) Parker, Jared (Angie) Parker, and Keri (Braeden) Barbour, Chad (Roxy) Parker, Jenna (Brent) Bramer, and Shawn (Mady) Parker, and Parker (Aly) Timmermann and Alexa Timmermann (Nate Vogel); fourteen great-grandchildren, and a sister, Judy Schlosser, of LeRoy.
Bev was the heart of the family, always hosting every family get-together. She was an excellent cook and always made enough food to feed an army. She had an incredible flair for decorating cakes and cookies. Everyone in the family always had a specially designed birthday cake and she made several of her grandchildren’s wedding cakes. She also loved fishing and enjoyed numerous fishing trips over the years to Canada and later wintering at their home in Florida, where fishing was a regular occurrence. But above all she loved her family. She was a loving wife, mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma and will be greatly missed.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the wonderful staff at the Arc in El Paso.
Memorials may be directed to Ellsworth United Methodist Church, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or the donor’s choice.
