Addy Carnahan
InternAddy Carnahan is a senior at U-High, planning to major in Journalism at Mizzou next year. She joined the station in January 2026.
She is excited to take on her first internship this spring at WGLT. She loves to play tennis with her friends and values family time. When it comes to writing, Addy likes to include her positive and creative personality. As a journalist, she loves the freedom and space she has to write. One of her favorite mottoes to live by is “Will this matter in a year?”. It encourages her to go through this school year and step out of her comfort zone.

A dawn redwood is threatened by sewer and sidewalk work connected to ISU's fine arts complex construction. Recent ISU graduate Cassie McGinnis organized a change.org petition to raise awareness about what she believes is one of the oldest redwoods in Central Illinois.
