Parents said they still had many unanswered questions when a final recommendation on enrollment adjustment was made Wednesday to the Unit 5 school board.

Two options were presented Wednesday to the Unit 5 school board to move forward with the districtwide enrollment study.

Unit 5 School Board member Stan Gozur noted four of its schools have mobile classrooms to accommodate overcrowding and two other schools are also at or near capacity.

Unit 5 families have two draft options to submit feedback related to the districtwide enrollment survey. Families can review the two proposals and complete a survey until March 1.

Although a final recommendation from consultants who first floated the idea of closing the school will not come until March, Unit 5 will hold a meeting on Feb. 19 to lay out options for the school district moving forward.

About two dozen public commenters, including a few current Carlock students, spoke during Wednesday's meeting.
